The Creed family moves into a house bordered by woods where their daughter Ellie discovers an old pet cemetery hidden deep in the trees. When their cat dies on a busy road, their neighbor Jud Crandall (John Lithgow) leads Louis (Jason Clarke) past the graveyard to a stranger place beyond it, where the dead come back changed. What Louis finds when he buries his son there will cost him everything that makes him human.
