“Raise some hell.”

Jeff Matthews (Edward Furlong) is thirteen when his mother dies in a Hollywood stage accident, and he and his veterinarian father, Chase (Anthony Edwards), move to Ludlow, Maine to start over. Jeff's new friend Drew has an abusive stepfather, Sheriff Gus Gilbert (Clancy Brown), and when Drew's dog is lost, the two boys carry it to the old pet cemetery in secret. Mary Lambert's film is about grief, and about how far a hurt kid will go to get back what he's lost.
