Petey Wheatstraw
“Have No Fear, It's the Comedy Smash of the Year!”
Petey Wheatstraw (Rudy Ray Moore) wants to be the best martial artist and the funniest man around, and he starts out as the afterbirth of a watermelon. Cliff Roquemore builds the story as scaffolding for Moore's standup, with the murderous comedy team of Leroy (Leroy Daniels) and Skillet (Ernest Mayhand) in his way. Satan makes Petey a deal to marry his daughter and give him a grandchild, and backing out of it puts the devil's henchmen on his trail.
