“Join the Gang”

Om Shastri (Rajat Kapoor), an Indian expatriate drowning in debt after the American recession, flies home with one plan: sell his family's ancestral property and pay everyone off. Instead he is snatched by a small-time gang in Uttar Pradesh who take him for a rich man abroad and name a ransom to match. Subhash Kapoor builds the comedy on a plain idea, that when money runs out, everyone is hunting for someone else's pocket.
