Phenomenon

“Some things in life just can't be explained.”

George Malley (John Travolta) is a small-town mechanic who wants little more than to win over Lace Pennamin (Kyra Sedgwick), a single mother who keeps him at arm's length. Then a bright light comes down from the sky, and he wakes up with a genius's mind and the ability to move objects without touching them. Jon Turteltaub follows George as the town, his friends Nate (Forest Whitaker) and Doc (Robert Duvall), and George himself try to work out what he has become.
