Phil Spector

Defense attorney Linda Kenney Baden (Helen Mirren) joins the team defending Phil Spector (Al Pacino), the music producer on trial for the 2003 death of Lana Clarkson in his California mansion. David Mamet sets the story in 2007, during the first of Spector's two murder trials, and keeps it in the rooms where lawyer and client talk. Her job is to defend him, and his job is to be difficult, and the film stays on the strain between them.
