Phoenix

“In this town, the heat can kill you.”

Harry Collins (Ray Liotta), a Phoenix cop, owes a brutal bookie more than he can pay, and he brings two fellow detectives into a scheme to clear the debt. Danny Cannon keeps the crooked cops moving through card rooms and back offices, where one bad bet leads straight to the next. Harry's partner Mike Henshaw (Anthony LaPaglia) trusts him, even as the money Harry owes presses on them both.
