“A no-body is about to become a somebody to impress everybody!”

The biggest party of the year is days away, and Mandy Gilbert (Ashley French), the school's bookish nobody, has just been invited by Drew Patterson (Robbie Amell), the boy everyone else wants. She's grounded, and Drew's ex-girlfriend is working to make sure Mandy never gets through the door. Stephen Herek follows Mandy as she turns to her friends for a way out, and the movie keeps coming back to how much they're willing to risk for her.
