“Adolescence can be brutal.”

Sara (Laura Galán) is an overweight teenager in a small Spanish town, where girls her own age follow her around the summer pool and make a game of her. When a stranger (Richard Holmes) takes those girls away, she is the only one who knows it, and she says nothing to anyone. Carlota Pereda keeps the focus on Sara and her mother (Carmen Machi), whose worry and shame press on every conversation they have.
