Pigsty

(1969)Directed by Pier Paolo Pasolini99 minDrama
“I killed my father, I ate human flesh, and I quiver with joy.”

Two stories run side by side in Pasolini's film, and neither explains the other. In one, a young cannibal (Pierre Clémenti), who killed his own father, is condemned to be torn apart by wild beasts. In the other, Julian (Jean-Pierre Léaud), the son of a post-war German industrialist (Alberto Lionello), drifts toward his father's pigs because he has no use for people, and his fiancée Ida (Anne Wiazemsky) waits among the people he is leaving.
