“A Plastic Nightmare”

The Linden house sits in a quiet town, where Dr. Frank Linden (Terry O'Quinn) keeps a life-size plastic medical dummy named Pin in his office and speaks through it to his children. After his parents die in an accident, Leon (David Hewlett) takes Pin home to live with him and his sister Ursula (Cynthia Preston), who does not want it there. Sandor Stern shoots the house in flat, clinical light and lets the stillness of one motionless figure do the work.
