Pinocchio

Pinocchio (Federico Ielapi) is a wooden puppet who wakes up in a poor woodcarver's workshop, and what he wants is out the door and into the world. His maker, Geppetto (Roberto Benigni), only wants a son who stays near, but Pinocchio keeps following whoever promises a better day. Matteo Garrone dresses the film in cracked wood, patched cloth and Fata Turchina (Marine Vacth), her hair the color of a swimming pool.
