In 1996, defense attorney Jennifer Garrick (Rosalind Allen) takes on the case of a condemned serial killer and comes away with a wooden Pinocchio puppet. Her young daughter Zoe (Brit Smith) takes it for a birthday present, and soon people who cross Zoe start getting hurt. Kevin Tenney builds the household around the doll, with Jennifer doubting what Zoe says and Zoe trusting only Pinocchio.
