“The most famous children's book of the last decade - Now a motion picture!”

Pippi Långstrump (Inger Nilsson) is a redheaded girl strong enough to lift a horse, and she lives on her own in her father's cottage, Villa Villekulla. Next door, Tommy (Pär Sundberg) and Annika (Maria Persson) Settergren get pulled into her days, while Fröken Prysselius (Margot Trooger) keeps a stern eye on her. Olle Hellbom built the film from the Swedish TV series, and what stays with you is Pippi's two braids sticking straight out from her head.
