Pippi Longstocking

“Her name is about all you can handle!”

Pippi Longstocking (Melissa Altro) has just moved into her house at the edge of town, and she lives there alone while her father, Captain Longstocking (Gordon Pinsent), sails the seven seas. Her neighbors Tommy and Annika take to her at once, but Mrs. Prysselius (Catherine O'Hara), the social worker, takes a harder view of a child with no grown-up in the house. Clive A. Smith animates it as a musical, and Pippi keeps on exactly as she is, answering to no one.
