“The kids are out to play”

Nicola (Francesco Di Napoli) is fifteen in Naples and wants money, the kind that buys his mother things and gets him noticed on the street. He falls in with a crew of boys his age, among them Tyson (Artem Tkachuk) and Agostino (Pasquale Marotta), who carry handguns and AK-47s for the local mob bosses. Claudio Giovannesi casts the film with young, unpolished faces and keeps the camera close on them.
