Pirates

“Our Ship's Highly-Trained Staff Awaits You.”

Captain Red (Walter Matthau) is drifting on a raft with his young first mate Frog (Cris Campion) when a Spanish galleon sails into view. Roman Polanski built the film on classic pirate pictures, and Matthau plays Red as a peg-legged, pot-bellied captain who talks with his whole face. Red and Frog squabble like an old man and the boy he never quite adopted, and they never stop being each other's only company.
