Two young men in the early 1970s are building a business out of whatever is on hand, Steve Jobs (Noah Wyle) pushing and talking while Steve Wozniak (Joey Slotnick) solders. Across town, Bill Gates (Anthony Michael Hall) is doing the same with software. Martyn Burke follows both companies from college days to 1997, and each man is betting that his machine will be the one the world ends up using.
