Pirosmani

Nico Pirosmanichvili (Avtandil Varazi) wants nothing more than to paint, and he trades his canvases to bars and restaurants for a meal or a drink. He lives in Georgia between 1862 and 1918, and the people who feed him rarely look at what hangs on their walls. Giorgi Shengelaia builds each frame around the painter's own flat colors, so the screen looks like one of Pirosmani's pictures.
