The Barden Bellas are humiliated in front of the President of the United States and thrown out of the Aca-Circuit. Their only way back is an international competition no American team has ever won, so Beca (Anna Kendrick), Chloe (Brittany Snow) and Fat Amy (Rebel Wilson) start rehearsing. Elizabeth Banks, directing for the first time, gives the group a new recruit in Emily (Hailee Steinfeld), and Beca has to decide whether to let her in.
