“Play for the planet.”

Brenner (Adam Sandler) was once a teenage arcade champion and now installs home electronics, still sore about the title he lost back in 1982. Then alien invaders, having mistaken old videotaped arcade footage for a declaration of war, attack New York as 1980s game characters, and the military calls him and his old rivals back in. Chris Columbus puts Brenner beside his oldest friend Cooper (Kevin James), now the President of the United States.
