Planet of the Apes

Captain Leo Davidson (Mark Wahlberg), a U.S. Air Force pilot, crashes on an unfamiliar planet ruled by intelligent apes who hunt humans for sport. He meets Ari (Helena Bonham Carter), a sympathetic ape who questions her society's cruelty, and together they flee from the brutal commander Thade (Tim Roth). By the film's end, Davidson stands alone in the wreckage of what was once familiar.
