Playing for Keeps

“This holiday season, what do you really want?”

George (Gerard Butler) was once a star soccer player, and now he's broke and drifting, trying to win back his ex-wife Stacie (Jessica Biel) and stay close to his young son Lewis (Noah Lomax). He takes over coaching Lewis's youth team, and the other parents, Carl (Dennis Quaid) and Patti (Uma Thurman) among them, take an interest in him. Gabriele Muccino fills the sidelines with kids in oversized jerseys and parents holding paper coffee cups.
