Poem

Jun (Saburo Shinoda) is a young servant who wants nothing more than to keep the old ways of the household he serves, down to every ritual. Around him the aristocratic family argues over the estate while its members slip toward modern pleasures and money troubles. Akio Jissoji leaves Jun standing at the edge of each quarrel, a still figure in a house that is coming apart.
