Pokémon: The First Movie

“Who is the strongest Pokémon?”

Satoshi (Rica Matsumoto), a young trainer travelling with his Pikachu (Ikue Otani), Kasumi (Mayumi Izuka) and Takeshi (Yuji Ueda), gets an invitation to a Pokémon match run by Mewtwo, a bio-engineered Pokémon out to prove it is better than all of them. Kunihiko Yuyama sends the group toward that challenge with the first film in the Pokémon series. Underneath the battles sits a plain question of whether a made creature can be worth as much as a born one.
