“In a world where crime has no meaning”

Cristi (Dragoș Bucur), a plainclothes cop in the north-eastern city of Vaslui, spends his days tailing a teenage boy suspected of selling pot. Corneliu Porumboiu films the job as it is, with long stretches of walking, waiting and watching a doorway. As the case drags on, Cristi starts to doubt whether the law is worth ruining a kid's life over a few joints.
