Police Python 357

A murder lands on the desk of Inspecteur Marc Ferrot (Yves Montand), a careful, orderly policeman, and the trail keeps bending back toward his own department. He works the case alongside Commissaire Ganay (François Périer), but the questions grow more personal and the people around him go quiet. Alain Corneau shoots it in grainy 70s texture and lets Ferrot's steadiness wear thin, scene by scene.
