Sergeant Chan Ka Kui (Jackie Chan) wants one thing, to put a drug boss behind bars, and he does it almost single-handed after a shooting and a chase through a Hong Kong slum. Now he has to keep the gangster's secretary, Salina Fong (Brigitte Lin Ching-hsia), alive long enough to testify in court. Jackie Chan directs and does his own stunts, and the slum's shacks come down around him.
