Poltergeist

“They're here.”

The Freeling family moves into a suburban house where ghosts begin pulling their youngest daughter, Carol Anne (Heather O'Rourke), through the television. Diane Freeling (JoBeth Williams) and Steve (Craig T. Nelson) call in parapsychologist Dr. Lesh (Beatrice Straight) to bring her back. The film suggests that some families inherit the darkness of the ground beneath them, and no amount of love shields them from it.
