Pompo the Cinephile

“Bright lights. Big dreams. No experience.”

Why would a producer who makes B-grade flicks anyone can enjoy hand her best script to her assistant and tell him to direct it himself? In Nyallywood, Joel Davidovich "Pompo" Pomponette (Konomi Kohara) does exactly that to Gene Fini (Hiroya Shimizu), a movie buff who only wanted to see the thing finished. Takayuki Hirao follows a first-time director learning that making a film means deciding what stays and what goes.
