Poor Things

“She’s nothing like you’ve ever seen.”

A young woman in Victorian London walks with a lurching stiffness and speaks like a child, because her body was reanimated by the scientist Godwin Baxter (Willem Dafoe). Bella (Emma Stone) is curious about everything, and Duncan Wedderburn (Mark Ruffalo), a lawyer, offers to take her across the continents. Yorgos Lanthimos sends her out into a world with no patience for her, and everything she wants depends on how far she gets.
