“From Sailor to Slayer”

A group of camp counselors arrives to prepare a summer retreat at an old lakeside property, unaware of the legend that lingers there. Popeye (Steven Murphy), a figure from the site's violent past, begins to manifest among them with gruesome intent. William Stead's film suggests that some places don't let go of what happened in them, and opening a door to the past means inviting it inside.
