In the mid-sixties, in a Finnish-speaking corner of Tornedalen in Swedish Lapland, close to the Finnish border, two boys named Matti (Max Enderfors) and Niila (Andreas af Enehielm) plan to become rock stars. Reza Bagher follows them from age seven to fifteen, through a conservative, hard-edged place that has little patience for the dream. Years later the grown-up Matti is still carrying guilt over Niila's death, and the film is about what a friendship leaves behind.
