“The residents of Rockwell Falls are dying for you to visit...”

Steve Kady (Jeremy Sisto) is a census-taker sent to a small town for a routine check on a number that has not moved in a hundred years: 436 residents, every time. The locals, among them Courtney Lovett (Charlotte Sullivan) and Deputy Caine (Fred Durst), meet him with a friendliness that has an edge on it. Michelle MacLaren keeps Steve in the town's old church and wood-frame houses, and he keeps knocking on doors, sure the answer sits in the next ledger he opens.
