“They touched...and an evil spark was struck!”

Sheila Cabot (Lana Turner) wants out of a marriage to a rich, ailing husband, and she wants Dr. David Rivera (Anthony Quinn), his physician, beside her when she is free. Michael Gordon sets their plan inside the wealthy Cabot household, where Howard Mason (Richard Basehart) and her daughter Cathy (Sandra Dee) are never far off. Sheila keeps her composure in every room, and she is betting everything on it.
