Posse

“The untold story of the wild west.”

Jesse Lee (Mario Van Peebles) is a soldier coming home from the Spanish-American War with a cache of gold and a small band of mostly black infantrymen riding at his back. They head west, and Jesse carries a purpose of his own: finding the men who lynched his preacher father. Mario Van Peebles puts a Western on screen with its sun-bleached grit and speed, and what Jesse stands to lose is the posse that rides with him.
