Possum

“Can you spy him deep within? Little possum. Black as sin.”

Philip (Sean Harris) is a disgraced children's puppeteer who walks back to the house where he grew up, carrying a brown leather bag he cannot seem to put down. Waiting inside is his stepfather Maurice (Alun Armstrong), the man whose cruelty shaped his childhood and whose secrets Philip has spent his whole life running from. Matthew Holness keeps the two men in the same cramped rooms, and each seems to need the other as much as he fears him.
