Post Mortem

Mario Cornejo (Alfredo Castro) types autopsy reports at a Santiago morgue and has fixed his hopes on Nancy Puelma (Antonia Zegers), a burlesque dancer who lives across from him. Pablo Larraín sets this in Chile in 1973, in the last days of Salvador Allende's presidency, and Nancy disappears just as the country turns toward the coup. Mario keeps filing his reports and keeps looking, while a nation that cannot say what is happening goes on with its ordinary work.
