Powder

“An extraordinary encounter with another human being.”

In a small town in the mid-1990s, Jeremy "Powder" Reed (Sean Patrick Flanery) is a shy young man whose pale, hairless appearance makes him a target for the kids around him. Victor Salva follows him into school and into the sheriff's office, where Sheriff Barnum (Lance Henriksen) can't make sense of him. Jessie Caldwell (Mary Steenburgen) is one of the few adults who looks at Powder and sees a person, and her kindness gives him somewhere to stand.
