In Los Angeles, 1997, Lieutenant Mike Harrigan (Danny Glover) chases a gang through the city's neon-soaked streets when an extraterrestrial hunter emerges from the chaos. The creature with thermal vision and plasma weapons begins stalking the same neighborhoods, leaving bodies that don't match any gang pattern. Harrigan tracks both threats at once while government agents close in from behind, hunting the same invisible killer he's racing to stop.
