Prefontaine

“He beat the odds... And became a legend!”

Steve Prefontaine (Jared Leto) is a cocky, charismatic distance runner at the University of Oregon, nicknamed the "James Dean of Track" for the way he defies rules and pushes limits. Under coach Bill Bowerman (R. Lee Ermey), he sets records and picks fights with the sport's governing officials. Steve James tells it through assistant coach Bill Dellinger (Ed O'Neill), who stands at the edge of the track and watches him run.
