“Ride like hell.”

Wilee (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) rides for a living in Manhattan, a messenger who wants nothing between him and the street, no brakes and no gears to slow him down. When he picks up one envelope and agrees to carry it across the city, a dirty cop named Bobby Monday (Michael Shannon) decides he has to have it. David Koepp puts Wilee on the road with a deadline and a cop behind him, and Wilee keeps pedaling, since stopping is the one thing he has never learned to do.
