“Is losing the weight worth losing your friends?”

The Montana wilderness is where a group of old college friends end up, brought together by Lucy (Missi Pyle), the one who always called herself the fat friend. She turns up thin and beautiful, and Becky (Melissa McCarthy) and George (Josh Hopkins) are among those who have to reckon with her new look. Tate Taylor, in his first feature, stays close to Lucy, who has changed everything about herself except what she's still carrying.
