Prince of Jutland

“His quest for vengeance... may cost him everything.”

A king is dead, his son too, and the man who killed them has taken the throne and the widow, Geruth (Helen Mirren). Fenge (Gabriel Byrne) rules Jutland now, and the surviving boy, Amled (Christian Bale), is left to decide what a prince owes his murdered father. Gabriel Axel adapts the old Danish legend that Shakespeare later turned into Hamlet, and its subject is plainly revenge and what it asks of a son.
