Princess Caraboo

“She was everything they dreamed of... And nothing they expected.”

A young woman is brought before a Bristol court in the early 19th century for begging, speaking a language no one in the room can place. She becomes Princess Caraboo (Phoebe Cates) once Frixos (Kevin Kline) claims he can translate her, and the haughty Worralls, led by Mr. Worrall (Jim Broadbent), take her in to raise their own standing. Michael Austin sets a reporter on her trail, so every dinner she is served brings her closer to being found out.
