“The fate of the world rests on the courage of one warrior.”

Ashitaka (Yoji Matsuda), a young prince of the Emishi people, carries a cursed mark on his arm from a boar god turned demon, and he rides west to find a cure. Hayao Miyazaki sends him into the Muromachi-period forest, where Lady Eboshi (Yuko Tanaka) is cutting trees for her iron town and San (Yuriko Ishida), raised by wolves, has sworn to stop her. Ashitaka belongs to neither side, and San, wary of every human, will not trust him.
