Private Peaceful

“Divided by love - United by war.”

In the fields of Devon, Charlie Peaceful (Jack O'Connell) and his younger brother Tommo (George MacKay) grow up under a landowning Colonel (Richard Griffiths) who holds their family's livelihood in his hands. Pat O'Connor follows both brothers as they fall for the same girl, then as the war carries them to the battlefields of Flanders. Underneath it all runs the question of what courage costs, and who is made to pay for cowardice.
