The story is set in 1970, when the United States prepares to send a mission to the moon to look into the building of a base there. Richard Talmadge directs Col. Briteis (Donna Martell) and Maj. Bill Moore (Ross Ford) under Gen. 'Pappy' Greene (Hayden Rorke), from a Robert A. Heinlein story. The picture is black and white, and the crew's work stays in the plain light of the control room.
