Promise Me This

Deda (Aleksandar Berček), an old man in a remote village, sends his grandson Cane (Uroš Milovanović) to the city with a cow to sell and orders to come home with a wife. The relative he is supposed to find there is dead, so Cane lands with two grandsons who are small-time crooks, and he falls for a schoolgirl named Jasna (Marija Petronijević). Emir Kusturica fills the story with people who keep a promise even when the road to it is crowded with trouble.
