“Before love, comes trust. Before trust, comes...”

Martin (Hugo Weaving), who has been blind since birth, takes photographs anyway, then needs someone honest to describe them to him. He finds Andy (Russell Crowe), a restaurant worker who agrees to do it, while Celia (Geneviève Picot), his housekeeper, watches the friendship with growing jealousy. Jocelyn Moorhouse builds the story around trust, the question of whether you can believe what another person says they see.
